"The Press** Special Service AUCKLAND.

Barellan will go to Australia early in June with the Doommen Ten Thousand on July 8 as his main mission. He will not run in the £BOOO Stradbroke Handicap at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, on June 10. This was stated by his owner, Mr L. N. Hodgson, of Te Awamutu, yesterday. Mr Hodgson said Barellan had been booked on a plane to Sydney for June 10. He would join J. P. Hayes’s team at Randwick. Mr Hodgson plans to accompany his horse to Australia. The winner of 12 races this season, Barellan will later be prepared for the Epsom Handicap and weight-for-age events in Sydney during the spring. Following his win in the Bledisloe Handicap at Ellerslie on April 1, carrying 8-13, Barellan was eased from training. For the last week he has been given light exercise on Mr Hodgson’s farm and according to Mr Hodgson has done "wonderfully well.’’
