Ferry Cleared

Taxis are again to meet the interisland ferry this morning although not in quite the same strength as yesterday when 30 were at the wharf.

pany official said that most of the Wahine’s passengers yesterday had left Lyttelton by 7.30 a.m. The Wairine carried 155 ve, hides and many persons arranged transport into the city with fellow passengers. It had to leave behind 23 passengers. When the second bus arrived at 7.50 only two passengers were waiting. Today the number of passengers will be reduced after the flush of school holiday traffic. It is recommended that passengers should not leave their journey later than the 6.30 p.m. bus.
