PUBLIC NOTICES KOWAI COUNTY COUNCIL AMBERLEY WATER SUPPLY EXTENSION LOAN No 1. 1967 OF £24,000 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Kowai County Council at a Special Meeting held in the Council Chambers, Balcalrn, on Friday, April 14, 1967, passed the following resolution: “That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties Act, 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and all other acts it in that behalf enabling the Kowai County Council, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the oard held on March 21, 1967. the said Council hereby further resolves by way of Special Order as follows: (1) That the Kowai County Council proceed to raise a loan of £24,000 to be known as the Amberley Water Supply Extension Loan No. 1, 1967, for the purpose of providing a new main source of water supply to the existing reticulation In the Amberley Township. (2) That the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 25 years. (3) That the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 5} per cent

per annum. (4) That the said loan or any part thereof, together with Interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan, namely. 25 years. (5) That the payment of all such Instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such Instalment shall be paid out of loan money. (6) That the rate payable for brokerage tn respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed } per cent of any amount raised. (7) That no money shall be borrowed under this sanction after the expiration of three years from the date of the said sanction. (8) That the form of security for the repayment of all Instalments on the said loan shall be debentures or registered stock. (9) That the Chairman and County Clerk of the Kowai County Council be empower, ed to execute under seal any debentures Issued In respect of the said loan. (10) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a special rate of decimal flve-four-nine-one pence (.5491d) in the pound (£) on the capital rateable value of all property comprised within the boundaries of the Amberley Riding of the County of Kowai.” PUBLIC NOTICE is also given that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to the next Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Balcalrn, on Friday, May 12, 1967, at 10 a.m. for confirmation as a Special Order PUBLIC NOTICE is further given that a poll of ratepayers is re. quired to be taken if not less than 5 per cent of the ratepayers in the above defined area so demand, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the undersigned not later than the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the resolution hereinbefore mentioned.
