N.Z. COACH APPOINTED
New Zealand Universities men’s basketball teams may have a new look this season. Mr A. Forrester, of Christchurch, has been appointed national universities’ coach-selector for a threeyear term and is determined to limit his consideration to players who attend a university and play for a university club. One of his first tasks will be to select a team to play the touring University of Oregon team in July. A team will later be chosen at the universities tournament in August to play Southland and Otago. Consideration is also being given to entering the team in the New Zealand Men’s Basketball Association’s national tournament The proposed Australian visit has been called off, although the possibility of the team going abroad cannot be discounted.
