PUBLIC NOTICES ELECTION OF DELEGATES TO THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE of the NEW ZEALAND MEAT PRODUCERS BOARD and the NEW ZEALAND WOOL BOARD. Nominations of candidates for election as delegates to the Electoral Committee of the New Zealand Meat Producers Board and the New Zealand Wool Board will be received at the office of the New Zealand Meat Producers Board up to noon on 21st June, 1967. For the purpose of the election the boundaries have been constituted to provide for twenty-three electoral districts. These districts will elect twentyfive delegates who will constitute an Electoral Committee which will assemble in Wellington on 22nd to 25th August, 1967, (inclusive), to consider the respective Annual Reports of the Meat and Wool Boards and to elect the producers’ representatives on both Boards. Specimen forms for nomination of delegates, and full particulars regarding electoral districts, persons entitled to vote, etc., may be had on application to the undersigned or from Provincial Branches of the Federated Farmers, or from A. and P. In accordance with the provisions of the Meat Export Control Act two producers’ representatives on the New Zealand Meat Producers Board will retire this year. Nominations of Candidates to fill these two vacancies will be received at the Board’s office up to noon on 14th June, 1967. In addition a special election will be held to fill an Extraordinary Vacancy created by the retirement of Mr L. A. P. Sherriff. The person so elected will complete Mr Sherriff’s uncompleted term of office, viz. one year, and then retire. If he so desires he may then offer himself for re-election. Candidates for this election will complete a form of nomination marked Extraordinary Vacancy which will be received at the Board’s office up to noon on the 14th June, 1967. Candidates may nominate for both elections if they so desire. Nominations are invited for the election of two Woolgrowers’ Representatives on the above Board. Under the provisions of the Wool Board Election Regulations, 1946, and pursuant to Section (4) of the Wool Industry Act, 1944, and its Amendments, an Election of Woolgrowers’ Representatives on the New Zealand Wool Board will be held this year.

A woolgrower means a person carrying on business as a sheep farmer and owning not less than 100 sheep. Nominations of Candidates to fill the two vacancies close at the Board’s office at noon on Wednesday, June 14, 1967.
