Opposition To Pinnock Plans

(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 4. Plans are being made to organise powerful opposition against Dr. Benjamin Cohen, who was called in to save the Pinnock Finance Company, “The Times” reported today. The newspaper said a meeting of small creditors in London tonight heard that Dr. Cohen’s plans for a scheme of arrangement would be opposed by the Association of Pinnock Depositors.

The association was formed soon after the company suspended payments on £8,500,000 invested by some 9000 depositors. Dr. Cohen later put forward a scheme which could rescue at least 12s 6d in the £ over the next 14 years.
