Harbour Bed Rises 5ft

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 7. Concrete retaining walls were cracked and a portion of the harbour bed was pushed up more than five feet as a small hill of soil subsided opposite the Auckland harbour bridge toll plaza today. The 10,000 cubic yards mound of soil had been dumped next to the toll plaza during the last month as part of the Auckland harboilr bridge extension programme.
