Victory and first prise of *730 went to 28-year-old J. Cocking, of Yorkshire. He and the Westeon Australian. S. Peach, had uad after 73 holes with aggregates of 273. At the first holo of the playoff—the 540-yard fifteenth— Cocking hit a wonderful second shot on to tbe green for a winning birdie four agalnat Peacb's five.
