Charged With Escaping
Eric James Smylie, aged 28, was remanded until today when he appeared before Messrs G. D. Griffiths and H. A. R. Tullett, justices of the peace, in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday on a charge of escaping from Paparua Prison on Friday.
Player Dropped,—The International half-back, B. Muir, has been dropped from tbe final Queensland Bugby League trial and has been replaced by L. Wilkinson. The Queensland team to go to New Zealand next Wednesday will be selected after today a game.
