ZN.Z. Press Association; SYDNEY. New South Wales’ brilliant three ■ quarters spearheaded them to a convincing 21-9 win over the touring Irish Bugby team yesterday. New South Wales scored two tries, three penalty goals and two dropped goals to Ireland's two penalty goals and one dropped goal. The state side, which led 12-3 at half-time thoroughly deserved its win. Its forwards provided far better service and the backs led by K. Catchpole and P. Smith, made full use of it. The match would have been closer if Kernan had produced his normal kicking form, but the veteran was successful with only two out of nine attempts.
