Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother yesterday toured the Arromanches beaches where Allied forces landed in France in June, 1944. She also visited the invasion museum at Arromanches to see relics of the D-Day landings. The Queen Mother is makinging a two-day private visit to Normandy and Brittany. Later she will visit the British cemetery at Bayeaux, three miles inland. She will also see the Bayeux tapestry, showing the Norman conquest of Britain in 1066.
