OPPOSED TO BOMBING

Kennedy Would Fight In War (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, May 7. Senator Robert F. Kennedy told a group of Columbia University students that if he were of draft age he would be willing to fight in South Vietnam, but would not be a pilot and participate in bombing North Vietnam. Senator Kennedy made his remarks in an hour-long session with about 35 members of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism on Friday.

His answers to the students’ hypothetical questions were generally consistent with his previously announced opposition to the bombing of North Vietnam.
