FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—Anti-cyclones are centred over the north of the North Island and south-west of the South Island. A weak frontal zone lies across the south Tasman Sea and central New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds; overcast and rather cold, with local areas of light rain. Marlborough.—Light to moderate winds, mainly between south and east; cloudy skies and some areas of drizzle at first; rather cool. Outlook: cloudy with some areas of drizzle and fog. Nelson.—Light variable winds; cloudy and cool. Outlook: cloudy, with some areas of drizzle and fog. Buller and Westland.—Light variable winds; cloudy, with moderate temperatures; some rain at times. Outlook: cloudy with some areas of light rain.
