Druids’ Church Parade

The seventy-seventh annual church parade and service of the Druids Friendly Society (Grand Lodge of Canterbury) was held yesterday morning. In spite of heavy rain, about 120 Druids attended. Escorted by the City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band, the Druids marched from the Druids Building in Manchester street to the Salvation Army Citadel. The service was conducted by Major Tong of the Salvation Army. The grand president, Mr F. Britton, read the lesson.
