PAYMENTS FOR WOOL

Reductions Made Reductions have been made in wool payments on shord and woolly lambs. They come into operation today. For shorn lambs the reduce tions range from 3d to 20d a head, and the payments now vary from 3d a head for a lamb with a half-pound pull of wool to 6s Id for a lamb with a 41b pull. In the case of woolly lambs the reductions range from Id to 14d, and the payments vary from 6s 3d for a 2Jlb pull to 9s Id for 4}lb of wool. For hoggets, wethers and ewes, payments are now all the same, and vary from 2d for a Jib pull to Us 8d for 71b.

There has been an adjustment in the beef schedule. Prices to farmers have been lowered by 5s per 1001 b for f.a.q. cow, boner ox and heifer and boner cow. All these are now at 122 s 6d per 1001 b for ail weights.
