PUBLIC NOTICES WAIAU RABBIT BOARD NOTICE OF CLASSIFICATION OF LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPOSING A DIFFERENTIAL RATE IN THE RABBIT DISTRICT IN THE MATTER OF THE RABBITS ACT, 1955. And — TN HE MATTER OF THE RATING ACT, 1925, AND ITS AMENDMENTS. PUBLIC NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 65 OF THE RABBITS ACT, 1955. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waiau Rabbit Board has by resolution dated May 3, 1967, classified all land in its district for the purpose of levying a rate on graduated scale for the period commencing April 1, 1967, and ending on March 31, 1968. A list setting forth such classification may be inspected without fee at the offices of the Board, J. W. K. Lawrence and Co., 208 Oxford terrace, Christchurch, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on week days, and such list will be open for inspection from 9 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 1967, until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 1967. NOTICE OF PROPORTION OF RATE PROPOSED BY THE WAIAU RABBIT BOARD TO BE APPOINTED IN RESPECT OF THE RESPECTIVE CLASSES OF LAND IN ITS DISTRICT AS SET OUT HEREUNDER:— IN THE MATTER OF THE RABBITS ACT, 1955, PUBLIC NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 65 OF THE RABBITS ACT, 1955, AND SECTIONS 54 AND 76 OF THE RATING ACT, 1925. NOICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Waiau Rabbit Board intends at a Meeting of the Board to be held at WAJAU A 1.30 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 14, 1967 (or at such other place or date as the said board shall meet), TO MAKE AND LEVY A RATE on the land in its district for the period commencing on April 1, 1967, and ending on March 31, 1968, in the following proportions in respect of the tollowing classes of land. 1.44 d ,1.2 cents) per acre In respect of land in Class I. 2.04 d (1.7 cents) per acre in re spect of land in Class n. 3.12 d (2.6 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class 111. 4.32 d (3.6 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class IV. 4.92 d (4.1 cents) per acre tn respect of land in Class V. 5.52 d (4.6 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class VI. 5.64 d (4.7 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class VII. 6.24 d (5.2 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class VIII. 7.44 d 6.2 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class IX. 8.64 d (7.2 cents) per acre in respect of land in Class X. 9.96 d (8.3 cents) per acre In respect of land in Class XI. 10.92 d (9.1 cents) per acre in respect of land In Class XII. is per acre (10 cents) in respect of land in Class XIII. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said rate will become payable at the offices of the board and in one sum on August 9, 1967, and that the rate book is open for inspection without fee by the ratepayers between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. An additional charge of 10 per cent will be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of six months and 14 days from the date of demand and shall be payable and recoverable accordingly.
