Woollen Garments

Sir, —I agree that woollen garments are in short supply. Recently in a leading Christchurch shop I bought a baby’s blue coatee made in Israel, because I could not get anything in colour made in New Zealand. As for woollen bathing suits for the not-so-young, the price is exorbitant and they are nearly unprocurable. Soon we older people will have forgotten the delightful feel of quality wool, and the young, generation will never have known it. Why? The Wool Commission seems to me to be slightly reminiscent of the Boston Tea Party.— Yours, etc., K. WILKINSON. May 5,1967.
