Hockey Tour Itinerary

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The New Zealand women’s hockey team will make a comprehensive tour of England, Scotland and the United States following their matches at the International Federation Women’s Hockey Association’s conference and tournament in Germany. Details were announced today. The team will leave New Zealand early in September and travel to Belgium and Germany. They will be in England for four days and Scotland for a week. After this a one month tour of the United States has been proposed and depending on this there could be a stopover In Vancouver. The North Island trials are in Palmerston North on May 13 and the South Island trials at Ashburton on May 20. The final trials will be in Wellington over the Queen’s Birthday week-end. The itinerary is: September 4, leave New Zealand (tentative); September 8-10, Belgium: September 11-25, International conference and tournament at Lever Kusen, Germany; September 20-30, England; September 1-October 7, Scotland; October 7, leave Scotland for United States for a tour of approximately one month, with a possible stop-over In Canada.
