CHANGED MARKET
Property In Wellington
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, April 14.
The internal economic restrictions were being felt in the Wellington real estate market, said the president of the Wellington branch of the Real Estate Institute (Mr D. S. Wilson) yesterday. “For the first time in many years the basis of any normal market, which is willing buyer, willing seller, has returned.
“The property market, however, continues to be in good heart and although fewer transactions are taking place, there is still strong demand for the right house at the right price,” said Mr Wilson.
“Mortgage finance is somewhat difficult to obtain but it Is not preventing property transactions,” he said.
