“ECONOMY MEASURE”
(N.Z. Press Associati'in) MASTERTON, April 13. As an “economy measure” the Wairarapa Hospital Board has cancelled its annual membership subscription of £2 2s to the Masterton Chamber of Commerce. A letter to this effect was read at the fortnightly meeting of the chamber last night Mr J. Bouzaid, a member of the chamber, suggested that the letter be received “with amazement” The £2 2s would keep one patient in one bed for just nine hours, said the president, Mr R. M. Daniell.
