STUDENTS’ ASSN.
Reforms To Be Discussed
Rank and file members of the Canterbury University Students' Association will hold an all-day “workshop” today to attempt constitutional reforms better suited to the size and role of the association today.
Last year a “constitutional commission” suggested an arts faculty association, a science faculty association, a sport council, a societies’ and dubs’ council, and a student representative council so that special interests would be grouped for their own welfare and own activities, but present agreed recommendations to the central executive. These matters and the way the central executive might be elected will be among topics for discuseion tomorrow. The workshop attendance has been restricted to 50 students so that various issues can be discussed in four sessions. Findings will be reported to the executive.
