Lamb Prices Again Rise

WELLINGTON, April 14. Prices for most grades of New Zealand lamb again rose at Smithfield Market, London, this week, reports the Meat Board. Prices for the main grade (prime 29 to 361 b) were quoted at )d per lb higher than the previous week to reach 26d to 26fd per. lb. Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:
Mr N. K. Brett has retired as a director of New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd., because of ill health. Mr D. S. Beattie, Q.C., of Auckland, has been appointed a director to fill the vacancy.
