Third Loss By Banks In Week

NEW YORK, April 14. Four gunmen stole 620,000 dollars in American Express bank notes awaiting shipment to Germany yesterday. It was the third loss of a big international money shipment in New York this week.
Police said the gunmen taped and handcuffed four guards on a pier on the Hudson river, and made off with the bank notes in two wooden boxes.
Earlier this week police reported the disappearance of 420,000 dollars on the way from Laos to a French bank in New York. The money was taken from a strongroom at Kennedy Airport They also reported loss of a 401 b gold bar, worth 40,000 dollars, being sent from Canada to the Netherlands West Indies on an aircraft which left from Kennedy Airport
