P. R. Wilson Injured

Scratched: Boodle (9). Bracket: Jackaboy and Mansize.

(N.Z. Press Association! HAMILTON. P. R. Wilson, one of the Dominion’s top jumping riders, has broken a bone in his wrist and will be unable to ride for about three months. Wilson, who won on Olde Chelsea in the hurdles at Ellerslie last Friday, was hurt in a fall from Rebo on the second day of the Whangarei meeting on Saturday. At first he did not think the injury was serious and it was not until an X-ray was taken at the Waikato Hospital early this week that he became aware of the full injury. Wilson has been stable rider for the Matangi owner-trainer, I. Robinson, over the last few years and has had outstanding success. His injury has come at a most unfortunate time, on the eve of the Waikato and Auckland jumping carnivals.
