Macarthy Building Will Cost £870,000

WELLINGTON, April 12.

The Wellington building division of Downer and Company, Ltd., has won a £872,604 contract to build a 17-storey shop and office block in Lambton quay.

The building for the T. G. Macarthy Trust will replace toe trust's old two-storey building at the northern end of the quay. Demolition of the existing building will start in two weeks and construction will be under way as soon as toe site is levelled.
