Exhibition
Pottery by Merle Brynildsen and weaving by Zena Abbott will be exhibited in the Little Woodware Gallery from April 16-28. Merle Brynildsen studied for three years at the Elam School of Fine Arts and taught at an Auckland school for several years. Her work is stoneware as she prefers the natural stone look of fired clay. Zena Abbott started weaving in 1953 as a hobby. She started studio work in 1958 and started teaching weaving, spinning and plant dyeing in 1964. She has exhibited in England, the United States, Canada and Australia, and has worked for the Wool Board.
