D. J. Townley Invited
The Tinwald trainer, D. J. Townley, has been invited to represent New Zealand in a drivers’ invitation race at the Melbourne Show Grounds on the night of Anzac Day. Townley and a representative of each Australian state have been invited to drive in the race. Townley said yesterday that he was not certain what class of horse would be catered for, nor what type of race it would be. He expects to receive full details of the race later in the week.
