Harmonic Society
Mr W. Hawkey, conductor of the Christchurch Harmonic Society, told the annual meeting of the Ladies* Auxiliary of the society, that a cheque for £l5O which had been presented to the choir would be put towards the purchase of their new grand piano. Piano solos were contributed by Mrs J. Gibson and contralto solos by Mrs A. Cossins, accompanied by Mrs W. E. Olds. Mrs S. G. Turner, the retiring president, was presented with a sheath of flowers.
