Ferrymead
Sir, —Hear, hear, Mr F. A. Betts! We will soon raise the funds for Ferrymead. My cobber and I collected in two hours and delivered to Coronation Hospital (we had to take them up to the hospital because the powers that be would not have them locked in the school overnight), vegetables from the Marshland district. Next day the vegetables were sold at the fair, bringing in over £9O. Not a bad effort for two old broken-down crocks.—Yours, etc, ANOTHER OLD-TIMER. April 8, 1967.
