GIFT TO YOUTH
The funds of the recently dissolved Canterbury Youth Clubs’ Association were presented to the Canterbury Youth Council at its monthly meeting recently. A cheque for £l2O was presented to the council by the former president of the Youth Clubs’ Association, Mr W. Allen.
The council received a notice from the Returned Servicemen’s Association asking to be informed of the names of the secretaries of youth organisations in Canterbury. It is requesting the information because at present it is investigating ways in which it could assist youth in the province. The council was informed that the leisure time booklet outlining all leisure activities in Canterbury was now in the hands of the publisher. A forward for the publication has been written by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning).
