N.Z. Mission In Brussels (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.AJ LONDON, April 6. The position of head of the New Zealand diplomatic mission in Brussels has now been vacant for more than four months.' Mr D. Woodward, who headed the mission, resigned from the External Affairs Department last November to take up a position with the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations. Since then Mr E. Famon, the First Secretary, has acted as charge d’affaires. The only other diplomatic staff member is Miss Allison Gibbs, the Second Secretary. Mr Famon has a dual role, as the office is the headquarters not only of the New Zealand mission to the European Economic Community, but also of the New Zealand Embassy to Belgium.
