ECONOMIC MOVES
National Party Endorsement (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 9. Full support for the Government and an endorsement of its economic policies were expressed at a meeting of the National Party’s Dominion council, held at Wellington. Addressing the conference, the president of the National Party, Mr E. D. Holt, said that the party was facing a testing period. He was confident, however, that all thinking New Zealanders appreciated the need for the present measures in the longterm interests of the country as a whole. Mr Holt said he had been “considerably heartened” by the way in which party members supported the Government in approval of its actions.
