JUDGE CRITICISES CROSS-BREEDING

Mr M. S. Turton, of Ashburton Forks, who has retired from show judging, is highly critical of some present-day cross-breeding trends. After completing the judging of flne-woolled flock sheep at Oxford Show last week, he said that the standard of Corriedale sheep had shown marked improvement, but Romneys had gone the other way.
