Thanks To Cattle
It had been their fourfooted friends—-cattle—
that had probably unearthed the flrat gold in the Cardrona valley, Mr L. J. Strothers of Hawea Flat, told members of the council of the New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders* Association who visited his property this week. After driving cattle along someone had picked up gold, he recalled.
