UNIVERSITY VACANCIES MONASH UNIVERSITY COMPUTER CENTRE SENIOR LECTURER/LBCTURER Applications are Invited for the above positions from people with experience with digital computers, particularly In the , Helds of compilers, programming languages, and systems programming. The successful applicant will be appointed to the staff of the University Computer Centre, where duties will include teaching, consulting on computing problems and research. The Computer Centre's main equipment is a CDC 3200 computer with 32,000 words of memory and peripheral units, including magnetic tapes, disc files, a card reader, a line printer, a plotter and paper tape Input and output. A PDP--8 computer is now being interfaced to the 32000 to control remote teleprinter terminala. At present the Centre processes 5000 Jobs per month, operates more than two shifts and has a total staff of 20. SALARY RANGES: Senior Lecturer, A6500-A7600 dollars; Lecturer, A4BOO-A6300 dollars, with superannuation provision on the F.S.S.U. basis.
