Seminar For Executives

A bishop, a doctor, a professor of psychology, and the managing director of a business firm will advise Christchurch executives on “How to Live an Executive’s Life” in a seminar to be held next week.

The speakers will be the Most Rev. B. P. Ashby, Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch; Professor R. A. M. Gregson, professor of psychology at the University of Canterbury: Dr. E. Geiringer, secretary of the New Zealand Medical Association; and Mr E. A. Crothall, the managing director of a local firm. The seminar will be run by the Canterbury division of the New Zealand Institute of Management The secretary of the division (Mr R. E. Glensor) said that the course was being held to help executives to lead a well-balanced life, and to enable them to gain more satisfaction and results from their way of life. “We also hope that the course will give those attending a guide to better relationships with their fellow executives as well as with their staff. The seminar will cost £8 for a six-hour session. Wives will also be able to attend,” said Mr Glensor.

A similar course was conducted two years ago on the “Health of an Executive.” “Between 40 and 50 executives attended that course and we are expecting about the same number to attend next week’s seminar,” said Mr Glensor.

The chairman of the panel of speakers will be the Rev. R. A. Lowe, vicar of St Barnabas Church, Fendalton.
