1967 NUFFIELD FOUNDATION TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIPS The Nuffield Foundation invitee application, for a number of Dominion Travelling Fellowship, in the Natural Sciences, the Humanities (Including Social Sciences and Law), and Medicine (including Dentistry). The purpose of these Fellowships is to enable highly qualified graduates to engage in postgraduate work and research in the United Kingdom to prepare them for responsible academic or research positions in New Zealand. Applicants may be of either sex, preferably between the ages of 25 and 40 years, and should possess high intellectusl and personal qualities. In the case of the Natural Sciences and Humanities they should normally have a doctorate or similar higher degree of a University. A Fellow wIU be required to carry out at an approved Institution, a programme of work and training approved by the Nuffield trustees. The Fellowships are normally tenable tor one year, and provide for return travelling exf lenses of a Fellow and, if he s married, for his wife. The total value of an award, including travelling expenses, varies with the needs and family responsibilities of the holder, but will In no case be lesa than <2OW.
