Market In Balance At Week’s Close
The market was in balance as New Zealand stock exchanges closed a short week’s trading yesterday. Turn-overs were very light, but the range of trading widened a little.
Leaders on balance declined. Price movements were again narrow, but National Insurance lost fid to 24s fid and Tappenden notes also fell od to 5s 9d. General Foods, at Ils Id, Motor Specialists, at Ils 9d, N.Z. Forest Products at 19s
• lid and U.E.B. 1968 notes, at ! 8s 7d, each gained Id. Winstone recovered 3d to I 335. I 1.C.1.N.Z. lost 2d to 17s 4d, and South British Insurance, , at 27s 7d, U.E.B. Industries, , at 9s 3d, and Wright Stepheni son, at 13s 7d, each lost Id.
