Girl Seriously Injured
A nine-yeareld girt, Vivienne Joy Best, daughter of Mr and Mrs L. W. Best, of ' 11 Maratna crescent, suffered ' severe head and chest in- ' uries, and internal injuries, when she was hit by a van 1 near the comer of Main road ' and Te Awa Kura terrace. St ; Andrews Hill, yesterday. 1 The girl was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. ■ where her condition early today was described as poor. The accident occurred about 5.30 pjn.
