LOSS TO HOCKEY
B. R. Judge (Woolston), probably New Zealand’s leading hockey player, will be lost to Canterbury this season. He has been transferred to Wellington and will probably play for the University club. New Zealand’s top right-wing for the last six years and a veteran of the Tokyo Olympic Games, Judge was the outstanding player in last year’s Challenge Shield tournament
Christchurch has gained a player from Wellington with the transfer of J. Borren, an inside forward who represented the North Island last season.
