Among High Prices
A nine-bale tot of super Merino wool from Mr A. A. Urquhart’s Erewbon station, Mt. Somers, brought 63}d per lb at last week's Christchurch sale. It was the highest price of the ‘kale.' Below Mr M. J. Maltoch, wool supervisor for Pyne, Gould, Guinness Ltd., is seen inspecting the wool in the. top-priced lot after the sale. The highest price paid in Christchurch so far this sea-
son is 65jd per lb and this was given for both halfbred and Corriedale wool in the first sale of the season in August. The highest price paid in New Zealand so far tills season is 68d for four bales of super fine combing Merino wool at the September sale in Dunedin. Another seven bales of AA fine combing Merino to the same offering realised 67jd.
