GOOD YEAR FOR NISSAN
'T’HE Nissan Motor Company —the largest car company in Japan—made “phenomenal
gains” in every area of its business last year, Mr K. Kawamata, president of thei company, said recently. Mr Kawamata said 240,000 ■ Datsun cars were exported ! during 1966. The company I also established assembly j plants in Mexico, Australia i and Peru. In Holland, I Sweden, Denmark and I Belgium the company set up i sales offices. One of the major factors ; contributing to the success of ; Nissan vehicles was the spectacular successes achieved jin various rallies and endurance tests throughout the world, Mr Kawamata said.
