EXPLOSIVES IN BOOTH
(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, March 28. Police rushed to a deserted stree' in Masterton late last night after an anonymous warning that a box of explosives had been dumped inside a telephone booth in Cornwall street.
About 80 sticks of gelignite, some in a damaged condition, were found inside the booth, along with a quantity of highly inflammable fuse wiring.
The explosives were part of a large quantity stolen from the Weraiti Lime Works at Easter week-end.
