"The Pre»»” Special Service AUCKLAND, March 27. Forty hats to sit on, stand on, jump on or sleep on, given by the Millinery Association, in addition to 18 hats given by an Auckland milliner, went under the hammer of the auctioneer, Mr K. Angus, at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera, yesterday. The auction was held after a morning tea, attended by 80 women, in aid of the Save the Children Fund. The proceeds—£loo—went to the fund. Forty of the hats were made by 12 Auckland manufacturers and were part of the collection taken to Hong Kong and displayed in Hong Kong in October.
