Manchester Keeps Two-Point Lead

Stiles scored eight minutes from the end to allow his club to draw, 2-2, with Fulham on Monday and keep United at the top of the English League, division one. Liverpool, in second place with 45 points, two behind Manchester, was held to a goal-less draw by Arsenal. Nottingham Forest drew level with Liverpool by beating Burnley, 4-1. Wolverhampton Wanderers took over the leadership of the second division with a 1-0 away victory over Huddersfield Town.
