Rule Costly To Champion
(N.g. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. B. Jonathan of Wellington’s Mana Club won the national go-kart champion of champions event for the third time at Longburn, Palmerston North yesterday. During the six heats Jonathan had a hard task to beat a fellow Mana Club driver. B. Triplow, who finished runner-up. Triplow was the most successful driver at the championships as he won two titles. Jonathan’s successes were limited because on the first day his motor blew up and the rules prevented him from changing it until the open events were held. New Zealand titles results were: Class A super up to 156 c.c.— B; Triplow (Well.) 1, A. Crosland (Man.) 2, T. Fletcher (Auck) 3. Class B, 151 c.c. to 250 c.c.— B. Jonathan (Well) 1, K. MeFadzlen (Inver.) 2, G. Parker (Well.) 3. 200 c.c. Standard. —A. Hoare (Mt. Well.) 1, W. Brown (Nth. Tar.) 2, N. Day (Walt.) 3. 100 c.c. Standard. —E. Haddock (Auck.) 1, E. Dixon (Man.) 2, W.
