SPECIAL VOTES
tn.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Mar. 26. Facilities have been made available to qualified electors for the Fendalton electorate who wish to vote as special voters before polling day on Saturday, April 15. The chief electoral officer says a special vote is obtainable from any registrar of electors or any returning officer on the following grounds: Absence from the electoral district on polling day; not being within two miles of a polling booth during the polling hours; travelling under conditions which preclude attendance to vote: illness or infirmity; approaching or recent maternity; a religious objection to vote on Saturday. Qualified electors likely to need special votes should get in touch with Mr J. F. Tasker, Returning Officer, Fendalton electorate, at the Health Department, Christchurch; or at the Old Drainage Board Building, 196 Hereford street; or the nearest registrar of electors or returning officer of any other electorate.
