South Island Feis Ends

Mr M. Maunsell, president of the Christchurch Irish National Society, presented the prizes at the end of the society’s South Island feis last evening. , The Lavin Cup, for the highest number of points in the hornpipe and set dance, open, was won by Dermot Pratt. Patricia Murphy won the John Roderick Kay Cup for the highest number of points in jig, reel, set dance, and hornpipe under nine years, and the Brendan O’Dowda Cup for singing, under 16 years, was won by Padraig Brennan.
