Rare Penny
An 1869 English penny, a type which sold in Britain recently for £225, has been found by an Auckland woman, Mrs N. S. Toms, in a box of oddments she has had for many years. She does not remember when or how she got the penny. Mrs Toms checked the box when she read of the sale in England. A bank manager is sending the coin to England as the local value is reported to be only £so. (P.A.)
