PUBLIC NOTICES WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL WATER SUPPLY REDEMPTION LOAN, 1967. £13,000. IT is hereby publicly notified that the Waimairi County Council at a meeting held on the 16th day of March. 1967, in the Council Chambers, Fendalton, passed the following resolution: "That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the ’Counties Act, 1956,’ the ‘Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,' and all amendments thereto, and all other Acts (if any) enabling it in that behalf, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted on the 10th day of March, 1967, the Council proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan of £13,000 for the purpose of repaying the amount outstanding on the Water Supply Extension Loan No. 2, 1957—£60,000 which matures on the 31st July, 1967, subject to the following determinations:— (1) That the said loan be known as the Water Supply Redemption Loan, 1967 (hereinafter referred to as the said loan). (2) The said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed for a term of one or more years but not exceeding ten years provided that the total amount borrowed for any term between one and nine years, both Inclusive, shall not exceed £l5OO. (3) The rate of Interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding four and seven-eighths per cent per annum for principal repayable in one to five years, five and one-eighth per cent per annum for principal repayable in six to nine years, and five and one-half per cent per annum for principal repayable in ten years. (4) All amounts borrowed shall be repaid in full in lump sums on the respective maturities thereof. (5) The repayment of interest and repayment ot principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand and no amount payable as either interest or principal in respect of the said loan shall be paid out of loan money. (6) The rate payable for brokerage fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. (7) That the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the charges thereon a Special Rate of 00807 d (pence) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable - properties within the special rating area which is as follows: From Middleton Riding Boundary to Yaldhurst road along Yaldhurst road to Russley road, thence north along Russley road to Memorial avenue, east along Memorial avenue to the eastern boundary of the Russley Golf Course, thence north along the eastern boundary of Russley Golf Course to Wairakei road, east along Wairakei road to Breens road thence north along Breens road to Gardiners road, along Gardiners road to its junction with Clarldges road, thence east along Claridges road to Hlghsted road, thence north along Hlghsted road to a point in line with Sturrocks road, thence east along this line to the junction of Sturrocks road and Cavendish road, along Cavendish road to Styx Mill road, thence east along Styx Mill road to its junction with the Main North road continuing from this point in an easterly direction to Farquhars road, along Farquhars road to Grimseys road, thence along Grlmseys road to Winters road, along Winters road to the City Boundary, thence following around the City Boundary, to Ham road, along Ham road to Kirkwood avenue, thence along Middleton Riding Boundary to the point of commencement. (8) That the form of security for the repayment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be by means of Debentures and Interest coupons in conformity with the “Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956,” or by Registered Stock.
